ACase white iPad folio

Overall a good deal for the price and I wanted a white folio. That said, I was disappointed that it is definitely not leather – fake and more like a plastic/raincoat type material.

Good value, poor quality and craftsmanship

Although this case fit my basic requirements – case with stand in white – it fell short of my expectations overall. Most reviews were very positive but, make no mistake, this is not on par with a product from a quality “name brand” like Incase, Belkin or Griffin. Here are the particular problems with this case:
1. Poor fit – the iPad slides too far down and bottom of the iPad protrudes a few millimeters below the edge of the case
2. Poor stitching – the cover part is misaligned with the rest of the case as it’s sewn on about 4mm higher up
3. Lack of protection – in the event of a dropped iPad you will most likely have noticeable damage to the corner of the iPad that hits the ground first
4. Limited angle of adjustability – although this case has 13 angles of adjustability it’s range is very narrow.
5. The material is obviously NOT leather. It’s very cheap PU imitation leather.

Overall, for the price, you shouldn’t expect too much but I was still disappointed.

Case was made for iPad 1 not iPad 2

I purchased this case thinking it would be a great folio-type case in which I could carry some small papers and credit cards in lieu of carrying a wallet/purse and an iPad separately. However, when I put the iPad 2 in the case, it was ridiculously large. I suppose they made the case to fit the iPad 1 and iPad 2, thinking that the iPad 2 would not change in size, only on specs. Unfortunately for them, it did. Also, even though his case has a space for the front-facing camera (that is pointless anyway because the case doesn’t fit), there is no space for the rear camera. I wouldn’t buy this if you are and iPad 2 owner; it will just slide around in the case and defeat the purpose of having a case anyway.

After reading the product’s page again, I realized it doesn’t say anywhere that it was made to fit the iPad 2, so I bumped it up a star to compensate. (that’s right, I was going to give it 2 stars). However, it looks like the small hole at the top was not made for the camera, in fact it was made for the iPad’s light sensor, which I think is smart.

What I can say about it is that it’s well made faux leather and is a beautiful case. If I had an iPad 1, this case would be a great deal.
