Great for Running

I read about these on Runner’s World. They were recommended because they do not slip down your nose or fog up while running…which is true. The lenses also adjust to brightness, which is great. My only complaint is the lenses are a little smaller than I thought, so they are not as stylish as I’d hoped. However, they do what they are made for and are still better looking than most sports sunglasses I have seen.

Optic Nerve Eyeque Does it All

I’ve worn several brands of sunglasses over the years, and these seem to be the ones that continue to stay in my bag, all year long no matter what activity I am doing- mountain biking, road biking, cyclocross racing, running, snowshoeing, nordic skiing and backcountry skiing. I like these first off because they fit. When you’re out riding hard, you don’t want to be messing with you glasses, or have them as a distraction in your peripheral. These seem to feel like an extension of my face. They are so comfortable, I have been caught once (or twice) saying “Hey, where’d my sunglasses go?” and they are there on my face. Second- the lenses adjust to meet the specific lighting. I never have to think twice if I have chosen the right glasses for the day. And if conditions change, they change with it! Value for price, I don’t think you can get anything better.

Wonderful for jogging!

Jogging in Florida is wonderful during winter and somewhat hateful in the harsh humidity and extreme temperatures of summer but being one of those people that loves jogging outside, it’s just part of the territory. I own a treadmill for bad weather but despite the elements, still prefer outdoors.

Unfortunately, the heat and humidity combined with shadows, glaring sun and sweat all make it hard to find sunglasses that can stand up to the abuse while still providing protection. For awhile I tried a pair of prescription sunglasses with awful results – a rash that was so red and angry it was alarming. It took nearly two months before realizing it was the sunglasses (nose pads and rims).

Tried three other pairs with various degrees of success. One pair – known for their ultra-light weight – slid down my face with every step. Another pair, reputed to stay in place, were so heavy they felt like an extra appendage. Yet another pair was nearly perfect except for the extra heavy tinting that forced me to remove them when running under shadows and trees.

In desperation, I decided to try out these. They are light weight, don’t slid and although not immediate…they adjust to the level of brightness so there is rarely a need to remove them when jogging. They come in a nice little drawstring bag for convenient transport, look decent enough that you don’t fear getting caught out and about in them and perform perfectly. Very pleased!
