Cold Steel Gi Tanto Knife With Secure Ex 2
The Spike, designed by Barry Dawson, is a weapon pared down to it is bare essentials. Its thick, narrow blade is distal tapered and flat ground to a zero edge. This brings about a distinctive cross section that facilitates both penetration of the tip and cutting power antecedently unknown in such a thick, narrow blade. The integral handle of the spike compliments it is minimalist theme. It has been cautiously shaped out of solid steel, wrapped with cord and had all of it is sharp edges “melted” so they don’t irritate the hand.

Concealed Carry and… conversation?!?! By D. Jacobs The Spike is not a 5-star knife, but it is a 5-star value. Rarely will you find something as functional for the price, and that’s where it shines. Some thoughts:
* The WWII-vintage bead chain is completely useless. Do yourself a favor and restring it with 550 cord. * The (concealed) carry isn’t valuable beyond hanging around your neck by the sheath. The sheath isn’t made to clip on a belt and the handle is so heavy it just flips upside regardless. * The handle is tactile, and though your eyes may say “your hand is going to slip and cut you…”, it won’t * The blade is sharp, though it feels like it won’t keep the factory edge long (but don’t buy a knife if you can’t sharpen it)
Lastly, it’s a fantastic conversation piece when used as a letter opener. My buddy devolved into a 7 year-old at show-and-tell when I opened some mail with it. For whatever reason, most folks don’t bother with blades and when they see something interesting like a Spike, they think it’s a high-end piece of cutlery.
Spin a yarn about a cold-forged, laser-cut unobtanium carbide blade which is so sharp it’s now banned for sale in the US except to military, and that you could possibly be fined for having one (so keep it secret!)… that alone is worth the price of admission.

Badass! By Locklear This thing is awesome. I wrote a review on a Tokyo model and this knife is just the same. sheath holds it like a dream. people say its hard to remove, but i like that it has a good hold on the knife. I mean its not that hard if your older than 12. The blade is sharp with no imperfections. Cold steel delivers excellent products in my experience. Go look up their indian war club for home defense!!!
